Telescope ring clamps for vixen-style dovetail bar (143mm)

Telescope ring clamps for vixen-style dovetail bar (143mm)

Description

I had an old 114mm newtonian telescope parked in a closet for years. Recently I bought a new Skywatcher motorised mount I started looking for a custom ring clamps system to attach my telescope to a standard vixen-style dovetail bar. Guess what? I didn't find any printable model so I made my own. The ring system I'm sharing with you should be used with a 141mm diameter tube (a bit larger than the "true" aperture of 114mm). The diameter of the two designs has an extra 2mm allowing you to put some felt in between the telescope tube and the printed parts. The two ring halves are kept together by a pair of 25mm long M6 bolts with hexagonal head and a pair of wing nuts. The two screws at the base of the dovetail are 15mm long M5 hexagonal socket head bolts, usually they come with the dovetail bar itself. FYI: this design fits inside a 200x200mm^2 printing area.
