Sun Sparcstation 4 Hard Disk Mount
Description
When I got my Sparcstation 4 there was no hard disk bracket so I had to make something. My version does not have that fancy handle-locking (I believe the original part is Sun 330-1806 "Aurora" bracket - I'd love to model one for 3D-printing if I could get one!) but it will do the job of keeping a hard disk in place. This might work on other Sparcstations as well, but it's only tested in my SS4. In my machine there are black studs that are higher on the SCSI-cable-end of the drive, so the bracket rests on top of those. The rear has small printed-and-glued feet that are printed separately. Or one can add rubber feet. The bracket is not fastened to the chassis, but it prevents it from moving horizontally. At least my machine's top cover has a foam-piece that presses to the top of the drive when the case is closed so the drive should stay in place (but I'd still recommend remoing the drive if the computer is transported).
