ND Fidget Ring
Description
I loved Daless14s Merged Gear Fidget Toy, but i really wanted something that i could fidget with one handed, and could not find a spinner ring that wasn't print in place, or easy to assemble. I sliced half of the double gear frame, and made the edges smooth (took a while to figure it out as I'm new to tinkercad) this fidget is super simple to assemble, and doesn't require any glue. (I'm sure after fidgeting with it a while a couple drops of super glue might be helpful though) I also created a smooth surface ring "center" for the middle. Both my smooth surface "center" and one of the Gears from Daless14s original remix are included and will work. To avoid the need of sanding any parts, and to make sure it spins more freely, print the "center" or "Gear" files 02% larger in the X and Y dimensions than the "Bottom" and "Cap". It will still work if you accidentally set the z up 02% as well, but may be a little tighter. The smaller ring in the pictures is 100% size (102% Center) and just fits on above the top knuckle of my index finger. The larger ring is printed at 140% size (142% Center) and fits at the base of my thumb. I am currently printing at 130% size (132% Center), in hopes of getting a size that will fit between the first and second knuckles on my index finger, snugly. ***update*** 130% is still a tad to large, will be trying 120% next https://www.youtube.com/shorts/4IplJt2AJsg https://www.youtube.com/shorts/eC5bJdPI-QU Based off of Daless14's "Merged Gear Fidget Toy" remix of SpingoogL's "Helical Gear Fidget Toy" originals found here: SpingoogL: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2105705 Daless14: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2850756
