LumoVeil
Description
Included are two files, i use the Test_2 as its the most functional so far, the fit on the bulb is loose but i came to realize it doesn't need tight tolerance and to fit perfectly as it just sits in the ceiling so its okay. The other file has a clip that i replicated the metal spring friction holder for the bulbs in the original shrouds but realized this was unnecessary as well as different tolerances between the LumoVeil and the ceiling letting a slight gap to let light pass through, not desired but i included it nonetheless for anyone that wants to try designing their own. I created this as I live in a unit and its not ideal to use lamps and lighting as the plugs are in less than ideal places to run cords but I still wanted ambient lighting. This works with the standard downlights that have shrouds separate to the bulbs, there are downlights where its all one piece and this will not work, make sure your downlights are the right type and this will work perfectly. For the warmer tint one i spray painted it facing down with gold metallic spray paint so it reflects it back up, print settings are whatever you use, i used basic settings and printed in resin so a slight angle, angle is vertical for resin for least chance of failure and least support as well as best printability for the clips have the base of it facing down. I designed with 3d printing limitations in mind but any recommendations let me know and please send me photos of your results! I love seeing them.
