8K0941309F1 - Audi rear level sensor adapter
Description
My rear-level sensor recently broke. I didn't feel like buying a new one. Super quick fix. I designed and printed this adapter. The usual failure point is when the bottom **ball joint** (connected to the suspension) seizes and the metal rob brakes the **plastic connection**. *(In **red** in the diagram)* To fix that, remove the plastic **ball joint** *(in **green** in the diagram. Can be thrown away)*, clean the metal ball with a **wire brush**, and insert it in the 3D-printed part. The ball joint is tight and might require heating the metal part for easier insertion. You can also try it with a vise. At the top, add some glue and insert the metal rod. It should be tight enough for it not to slip out, but you can always add some zip ties for extra peace of mind. I, unfortunately, didn't take any pictures during the assembly. But I am leaving a diagram and 3D reconstruction to help. All this can be done by lifting the side with a car jack and removing the wheel. The sensor will be located directly behind the wheel.
