InfiRay C200 / Vevor SC240 / TopDon TC004 magnetic macro lense
Description
The InfiRay C200 thermal camera and its derivatives have a fairly minimum focusing distance. Thus it is not suitable for capturing short distance, highly detailed thermal images in stock configuration. This magnetic lense holder allows attaching a common 18mm ZnSe CO2 laser lense to the InfiRay C200. This brings the minimum focusing distance down from about 20cm to below 5cm. The thermal images included in the description of this item illustrate the benefit of macro capability on a bank of small (0402) SMD components. Without the lense attachment it is not easily possible to distinguish the individual components. In contrast components become very clearly defined with the lense attached. It is even possible to see minute temperaure differences due to current flow on a per-component basis. The lense attachment is mounted to the thermal camera through the use of rod magnets. The following types of magnets are required. 4x 3mm⌀*3mm 2x 3mm⌀*2mm 1x 5mm⌀*4mm The single 5mm⌀*4mm and two of the 3mm⌀*3mm magnet are embedded into the lense attachment itself. The remaining magnets are glued into the thermal camera case as illustrated in above photos. Please make sure to use very strong magnets, otherwise the lense attachment might not be attached properly. I had good success with grade N45 or higher.
