Intamin Drop Tower for LEGO
Description
This is a model of an Intamin drop tower for LEGO riders. Parts: For every tower you will need 4 cars (sit down or stand up), 8 restraints and 8 axles. Assembly: This model includes parts for a base, middle and top. Each part should fit together securly without the need for adhesive allowing them to be taken apart. For a tower you will need a base & top and as many middle sections as you want depending on how tall you want to make it, each middle is 10cm tall. The pins and holes on each sectio might not be completely central so there is a chance the parts will only fit together one way so it they dont fit right then keep turning them around until they match up. To attach the cars slide them into the channels before attaching the top. The base channels should be narrower to act as a brake but as I have not tested this I don't know how this works, the channels may be too narrow or too wide. Restraints: To attach the restraints, place over the seat and slide an axle into the gap. I haven’t printed this myself so have listed this model as work in progress as I cannot be certain it will work but I strongly believe it will. The model should be to scale and the restraint has been designed to fit around a LEGO figure securely whilst leaving enough space for most LEGO hairstyles but not all will fit. There should be enough friction in the restraint axle to hold it securely however if it is too loose then you will need to increase the diameter or the axle slightly.
