iGrill2 Thermometer Holder
Description
I have a weber "Master Touch" Grill and a iGrill2 thermometer. The problem is where to place the thermometer during grilling. It has a magnetic base, but you cannot stuck it to the kettle, it is too hot. So I designed and printed a small mounting plate that clamps on the front leg of the grill. I used the little metal disc that was supplied with the thermometer. My first design (https://www.printables.com/model/46555-support-for-weber-igrill2-on-weber-grill) worked fine, but after a few years it started to slide down on the leg of the grill . This new design is more “eye pleasing” (at least in my eyes…) and is an improvement on my previous design. Now you can really clamp the platform to the leg of the grill. Therefor you also need 4 times M4 x 15 bolts. The M4 thread is modelled, however very likely you have to re-thread it after printing. I advise to print it in PETG because PLA will get soft in the summer when the sun is shining… (especially when you print it in black) You need supports for the screw hole in the top (is printed upside down!!!). For the guidance depression in the bottom part supports are not needed. This indent is only meant as a guidance for the metal plate that came with the thermometer. This needs to be slightly above the surface after glueing. I also added an extra hole where you can glue in an extra magnet, approx 12 x 3 mm. For this hole you should use a support. The metal plate is likely not necessary. when you use a magnet.
