2 x Parallel 7ah Sealed Lead Acid (SLA) Battery Enclosure

2 x Parallel 7ah Sealed Lead Acid (SLA) Battery Enclosure

Description

This consists of 3 parts. 1. The primary enclosure which is designed to fit 2 batteries 2. The cover which houses the cabling, fuse and connectors to connect the batteries in parralel 3. The cover lid which is used to close up the cover and cabling. Additional Parts needed: 1. Appropriate cabling (I used 7amp cables, a higher strength cable may require you to drill bigger cable out holes in the cover). 2. Spade connectors .. uninsulated 3. 20mm M3 bolts with nuts. To close it all together, follow these steps: 1. Put in all the cabling and connectors as per my photo. I have left 2 little holes for the positive and negative cables to come out the top of the battery and into a connector to allow it to be plug and play. 2. Clip the cover lid onto the cover at this point. Note: The cover lid is a tight fit with the cover to ensure it stays secure enough (depending on your printer tolerances, you may find you need to shave off the tiniest amount on some edges to make it fit). 3. Put the batteries into the enclosure. 4. Put the cover onto the two batteries, with the terminals fitting into the holes, and then slide it into place. 5. Now you can screw it all down onto the enclosure using 20mm M3 bolts with a nut that goes into the slots in the body pillars. It does not need to be screwed super tight. (The nut for the middle pillar may need to go in before the batteries do) Special Thanks to [SamWhiskey](https://www.thingiverse.com/SamWhiskey) for the inspiration on how to route the cabling in the lid and add the fuse in: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4440641
