Remixed MMDVM top for Raspberry Pi 4B Wind Tunnel Case
Description
Three files in this remix, which are as follows: TOP-MMDVM_v3.stl: This is a remixed top that allows for more freedom in what MMDVM hat is used with this case. The original MMDVM top was a good design but only worked with the specific MMDVM hat for which it was modeled. This one features a window that should accommodate a wider-range of hats. TOP-MMDVM_v3_BiggerAntenna.stl: This top features a taller window cutout to allow for thicker antenna choices and easier use of right angle antenna adapters. I chose larger, rectangular cutouts at the top of the case for two reasons. First: simplicity and wider compatibility. Second, I suspect the left over rectangle that sticks down between the cutouts should help redirect some of whatever airflow that makes it between the antennae so it travels below the typical OLED display features by many MMDVM hats. TOP-MMDVM_v3_CustomOffset.stl: When trying the BiggerAntenna.stl file with my hat (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0BP69NSR6/), I noticed the antennae and the screen on this hat are a few millimeters off center. I created this version of the hat to match this offset. I will work on getting a picture or two to post once I finish assembly. Leaving as "in progress" because I am currently using a Noctua 40mm fan and the 40mm fan shroud that someone else remixed for this case but am eyeing the idea of remixing the shroud to make it a bit better. That part might be added to this remix if I decide to give it a go.
