F-16 HYD PRESS Instrument Cluster
Description
I needed HYD PRESS gauges for my F-16 simulator project and since I try to build as much as possible by myself, I designed these. A writeup of the whole thing and how it's going together is available at http://f16simulator.net/wp/en/2023/06/05/hyd-press-gauges-done/ I used my CNC to cut the 2mm acrylic glass and then filed a notch into it, but it's quite easy to cut it with a jigsaw, too. (I did all my old instruments this way). The needleshaft is 2mm springsteel, I'm using 2 5mm wideangle LEDs in each instrument for backlighting (that's what the hole in the backspacer are there for). My panel is done like I do all my new panels, the 3D printed part is painted with a coat of white, than clear, and 3-4 coats of matte black, then the lettering is laser into it. http://f16simulator.net/wp/en/2023/01/14/panelbuilding-tests/ When building these I had to sand all parts a bit, since I designed the fit too tight.
