GM-30, UV-13, GM-15 pro Baofeng battery pack
Description
This battery will allow you to use 18650 cells with Baofeng GM-15 pro, UV-13, Radioddity GM-30 and other radios build on the same formfactor. I will make a wiring diagram later but basically follow the instructions of the charger and BMS board. The BMS I chose doesn't automatically detect the battery so the reset switch was added so you can activate it if you change out the cells. I may follow up with a few revisions, this is revision 8 before I was happy enough to post it. It is quite large, and the parts/time far exceeds what you can buy a replacement battery for, but this gives you several days of stand by depending on the cells selected. ##Parts needed: - 1 x 18650 Battery Holder https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B1JJZ363?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details - 4 x M2.3x10mm counter sink (to screw the battery holder down, may poke through just grind off the tips or use 8mm but they didn't bite enough) - 1 x Tactile Tact Push Button Switch 6x6x5mm Micro Momentary Tact Switch 2 pin (reset to enable the BMS after changing cells, can skip this and just plug up a charger after changing cells to activate the BMS) - 1 x Adeept Type C BMS 2S 2A 18650 21700 3.7V Lithium Battery Charge Module Charging Board Step-Up Boost Li-Po Polymer USB C to 8.4V https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BWTK7SVN?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details - 4 x 2mm nut inserts and 2 x 2.5mm nut inserts (if using belt clip) suggest just buying a kit of nut inserts for plastic - 4 x M2x20 screws to attach the back cover with smallish heads - Nickle battery strip will need to trim this to size and loop it through the battery contact holes which are 4mm wide - 1x Anmbest 5PCS 2S 7.4V 8.4V 8A 18650 Charger PCB BMS Protection Board for Li-ion Lithium Battery Cell https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07KSQY67X?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details - wire of different colors large enough to handle the current you expect to draw (different radios have different transmission power) - 30 gauge wire to attach the reset switch (or other smallish wire) - hot glue can hold down the battery holder and attach the circuit boards as well as insulate and glue the back side of the battery contacts. hot glue can also be used to water/dust "proof" it. The charging LED is visible through the large hole so if you use clear hotglue you can still see it.
