Play-Doh Cutters: Decimal Squares
Description
These play-doh cutters are designed to mimic decimal squares. There are three square cutters: the whole, the tenths, and the hundredths. The cutters for the tenths and hundredths (purposely) do not cut the partitions all the way down, but students should use a play-doh knife to cut out the tenths/hundredths. So, if having them represent 0.1 and 0.10, children can cut out 1 tenth using the tenths cutter and play-doh knife, and then cut out 10 hundredths (as a chunk, not individually!) to compare and see they are indeed the same amount (i.e., 0.1 = 0.10).
