Metail Bed Frame Foot

Metail Bed Frame Foot

Description

I needed to replace the wheeled feet, and the broken middle foot, of a simple queen metal bed frame. I already had a set of the “reinforced” bed risers from Amazon break on me. I figured this was a good project to cut my teeth on using OnShape. This is very sturdy and maybe a bit overkill but with my son's teenage friends over frequently I thought the little bit of extra filament and time is better safe than sorry ;) The posts of my bed press fits snugly in place. If it is too small or too big for your bed you may want to try printing the **test fit file** and maybe resizing a bit before printing the whole thing. Most of these frame are not made to exacting measurements so I wouldn't be surprised if it needs tweeked per post. I used 50mm felt self-stick pads on the bottom. Enough friction to slide when pulled but doesn't move around on its own. You could use the non-slip pads instead but felt worked great on my new floors. **Inner Diameter** = 18mm **Base Diameter** = 55mm **Bed Height Gain** = 62mm (when fully touching plate inside) - This is not how high your bed will be ;) If you want higher/lower let me know.
