Rattmmotor 3018 laser bed clamps

Description

My Rattmmotor 3018 laser bed stuff I bought a better laser for my 3018 cnc machine and I bought a laser bed for it. The bed on my 3018 measures 300 X 180 mm’s. The laser bed I bought measures 300 X 200 mm’s so it overhangs on each end by 10 mm’s. I designed this bed clamp to hold the laser bed down to the 3018 cnc bed. There are 2 parts, the upper half and the lower half. I joined them together on a common brim for an easy print. Trim apart post print. You will need 4 clamps. I used a 3mm socket head screw 35mm’s long and a 3mm threaded brass nut insert. The insert I used measures 4mm’s OD and 3mm’s long with an internal 3mm thread. The bottom half of the clamp will slide into the T slot on the front and rear of the bed. It is a tight fit. I assembled and installed the two rear clamps first, then I slid in and aligned the laser bed and tightened the rear clamps slightly. Then I slid in the two front bottom clamps, and then I bolted in the top half of each clamp. The top clamp has a slight lip to catch the laser bed frame. I also designed these little standoff blocks. They are just a 20X20 cube with an 8mm diameter cylinder that is 5mm’x long. The 8mm cylinder will stab down into the laser bed honeycomb and keep it in position. Some of the honeycomb holes fit a little tighter than the others but if you wiggle the block a little bit it will slide down into the honeycomb. I added a hole to the top of the block to accommodate 3mm brass nut inserts. You can use this to bolt your work piece to the block. Totally optional. They still work great without the brass insert, as a flat and stable work platform. I printed these in black PETG. They look good but they don’t photograph very well. Printed in PETG .2 layer 50% infill
