Pedal operated trash can / rubbish bin
Description
This is a printable pedal operated trash can. The capacity is approximately 7.5 liters / 2 gallons. The design features a pedal mechanism to open the lid and a detachable bag retainer ring to hold a garbage bag in place for easy emptying. The lid opens to about 45-50 degrees. No additional hardware is required : all items are printable, including the hinge pin and accompanying retainer clip. If you'd like to print with a smaller build volume machine, it should scale down OK. I printed my copy on a Bambu Lab P1P with various PolyMaker PLAs. Supports are needed only for the pedal opening at the bottom of the main cannister. Print the bag retainer ring with the slanted side up. This requires the printer to bridge a reasonably small gap between the retainer rings and worked fine on my P1P.
