Stay Open Latches for Rack Drawer
Description
Redesigned my home studio to use rack furniture to store and stow my audio equipment, but wanted to be able to have the drawers stay open and stationary while using the equipment, so I designed and printed this simple latch using M4 x 15mm screws to hold rack drawers steady when they are deployed. Features at the bottom slot into laser cut holes on the rack drawers, which are Penn Elcom R1290/1U available at amazon here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0006MZMGY I used PETG 20% infill, no supports. Mirror the latch_mount_2 .stl to get the two handed pieces, or just use one latch on one side, which holds it pretty steady! I ended up using only two screws and it worked pretty great. Used a bit of grease between the parts to make them move smoothly.
