3018 CNC Bauer Router 50$, Upgrade Milling Aluminum, 20 newton Z assist,
Description
This is a Makita clone that HFT carries was on sale 50$ so I installed on my 3018, mount used CF-PETG 330gm, router 1400 or 1600gm (forgot), coolant / misting device 150-200gm. So I had to increase my Z load displacement from 10Newtons form previous router to 20Newtons (2kg). This is a large motor, more torque, so I made a little thicker and heavier mount. Mounted misting flexible nozzle clamped in 3/4" EMT 2 hole straps with a piece of rubber ( rubber taken from the piercing clamp for a water/ice line add on kit that would seal the device.) with idea being similar to how you mount EMT along masonry wall, clamped with a stand off, secured to the wall but not agianst the wall, Did one test/calibrtion piece with different markings at 10, 5, 2,5mm x 100mm.
