I was inspired by the HS4 version available on thingiverse here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4274619 This is cheap & easy horsepower. You can see some dyno results for the HS4 MG case here: http://mgaguru.com/mgtech/power/pp104b.htm Furthermore, many user's have reported quieter carburetor noise. This, to me, is indicative of reduced turbulence at the carburetor inlet and therefore must be accompanied by improved flow. In any case, I am certain that it will not detract from power and if you only get a few hp it is still worth the minimal effort. I also made a similar stack for Stromberg 150 which can be found here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5462483 This is untested but it utilizes the hole spacing from Mark Lintott's https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5884566 so it should fit fine. However I am providing the OpenScad file should you wish to make adjustments for your own particular air cleaner. I suggest using a rounded head cap head bolt to secure on the two outer bosses so as to further reduce turbulence. Print in a high temp capable plastic and print with 4 outer layers and a 25% infill. You may want to sand the part smooth and paint with epoxy spray paint.
