Charom Set

Charom Set

Description

Charom is an Indian game, that is similar to billiards, but with coins instead of balls. The objective of the game is to pocket all your charom men (Your color based coins) and the queen (The red coin), with your striker (The largest coin). Your striker can only stay in your line (Where you sit/stand closest to), but you can shoot at any direction. Everytime you pocket your coins, get to strike again. If you pocket your striker, you loose a coin you pocketed back to the board, and you lose your turn. The queen is important to be pocketed before you pocket your last charom man, because if you don't, you lose the game. When the queen is pocketed, you get an extra turn and you have to cover the queen's escape by pocketing one of your charom men. Once you pocket a charom man of yours, you keep the queen and continue as usual. But if you failed the pocket any of your charom men, the queen returns to the board. It doesn't matter who has the queen, as long as the queen is out of the board and finishing all your charom men, you win the game! If you pocket all your coins but the queen is still on the board, you lose the game. Or if you pocket all of your opponent's charom men, the opponent wins. Have fun!
