2 Inch Square Tube Patio Umbrella Adapter
Description
**Overview** I designed this adapter to fit in the top of a 2 inch square tube so that a patio umbrella can snugly fit inside. I'm using this on the aluminum legs on my boat dock. The bottom of the patio umbrella pole is pinned with a stainless steel bolt. This adapter prevents the top of the umbrella pole from flopping around in the square tube, and it also gives it a more finished look. **Measuring** If you are going to make this part, I highly recommend measuring the inner diameter of your square tube and the diameter of your umbrella pole. When designing this, I stopped the print early a few times for test fitting before I finally got the tolerances correct for my tube and umbrella. I have included the OpenSCAD source files for those who want to make changes. **Material** I intentionally printed this part with PETG because of thermal resistance and strength. I would not recommend printing this part in PLA because it would likely deform sitting outside in the sun.
