Side Carrier for 5 Gallon Bucket - Ver. 4
Description
This was something I made for a beach cleanup non-profit, Essence of Earth LLC. They had been manually separating cigarette butts from trash. They count and send them to a special recycling center that specializes in cigarette butts. This is the fourth and final version I made for them. The team had only one more request, and that was if they could be made stackable. Everything else was perfect. So for this final version I removed the holes for the reinforcements. This made all the walls thinner. I also changed the hole shape into a bit more of a square to maximize the container carrying capacity but not increasing the overall dimensions. I added holes in the bottom of the bucket because the cleanup crew will often rinse these out after cleanups and if they stack them then holes will help with drying. I added some extra bends in the long arm that holds onto the bucket to add some rigidity and strength. Finally, all the vertical walls were drafted at least 3 degrees. This gave it the ability to stack within one another and allow the crew to store multiples of these in a much smaller area. The piece is meant to be printed without support and should be printed with the bottom of the bucket pointing downwards. This is all based on my Ender 3 Pro. I have continued to place the non-profit organization's name on the top of the bucket (Essence of Earth).
