Ultimate Bookshelf Speaker - 3"
Description
This is 3" version of my speaker box. It was designed specifically for Dayton Audio 3" PC83 speakers. These are very affordable on amazon. I think these actually sound better than my 4" box with the infinity reference speaker. I have included two font cover designs. One with a basket and one without. The purpose of the basket it to allow filling of the speaker with polyfill stuffing. This keeps if off the back of the speaker as well as prevent it from blowing out the port, But, I have found with the PC83 speaker, polyfill does not help and actually makes the speaker sound not as good as with no filling at all. Anyway, I included the design so you can play with it if you want. Ingredients (per speaker): Dayton Audio PC83 1x Push in Type Right Angel Stereo Speaker Terminal Speaker wire 2x 3mm screws to hold the terminal in 4x screws to hold the speaker in - I use #8 1" long sheet metal screws. Glue - I have been using clear Gorilla glue. Adhesive rubber feet You will need an amp to run these.
