Automatic Fish Feeder

Automatic Fish Feeder

Description

Ever since junior high school, I\'ve wanted to build an automatic fish feeder. Four years of school, two Arduinos and a Makerbot later, I\'ve finally constructed a design for an automatic fish feeder that I believe will \"perform adequately.\" The cup can be mounted on a standard size hobby servo so that when the fish need to be fed, the cup can be turned back and forth too make the food fall out of the slit at the bottom of the cup. This was my first OpenSCAD design, and it was a pleasure to design. It's nice to be able to undo steps in boolean modeling without starting completely over. ToDo: -I want to design a controller for this board. It\'ll be controlled by an AVR and hopefully have a cleaning reminder light and buzzer as well as being able to feed fish. -Once I have all the parts printed, I plan to design a piece to mount the servo and circuit board on the outside of the tank and away from the dangers of evaporated or splashing water. The size of the aperature should be large enough for flakes, although you might find it too big. If it\'s too big you can easily alter the design by changing the attached scad files.
