A Simple Burr

A Simple Burr

Description

I've been fascinated with burr puzzles for a while now and after seeing the website theuglymonkey referenced in http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4935, decided to attempt 3D printing them. As a start, this is a simple burr puzzle adapted from http://homepage.ntlworld.com/bruce.viney/Simple%20Burr%20plan.pdf The current module dimensions are 5 mm x 5 mm x 5 mm which yields a 40 mm x 40 mm x 40 mm assembled puzzle. Not your size? It's parametric so make it larger or smaller; it's up to you. There are two sets of STL files: filleted and non-filleted. The filleted files are the ones depicted, but I've included the non-filleted ones if you don't want to deal with support material. I haven't printed this so it may need some tweaking. Feel free to mod the OpenSCAD file as needed. http://home.comcast.net/~billcutler/docs/H6PB/drawings.html
