Santa Sleigh
Description
This is a Santa Sleigh for decor, candy dish, gift basket, or whatever your imagination wants it to be. It is taken and modified from a Woodcraft Supply scrollsaw plan from the December/January 2023 issue. I modified the plan somewhat to make it easier to 3D print and glue together. I also made a number of different trims that you can print to change it up. For those who would like to design your own trim, I have included the outline as a jpg. You can print this out, draw and then depending on the program you use to model, use an image converter to convert it to a piece that is 171mm wide and 1.2mm thick. I have included a number of examples, but there many of you are far more artistic. If you don't know how to create an STL file from a jpg, but do know how to draw then feel free to draw and post the jpg in a comment and I will convert to a trim of your design when I get a chance. I thought of making this doll house size but not sure how big it should be for 1/12 dollhouse. Might already be that small if you want to put a doll in it, but not if you want it on a dollhouse mantel. You can shrink to about 1/3 of its current size before the pieces get too thin. Make the trim at least .8mm thick to have enough layers to hold together right. I use an Ender 3 with red PLA and I can print two sides at a time and the front, back and bottom at the same time. I print the trim on a Rostock V2 using gold silk PLA, but it would work on the Ender too.
