Bike Reflector Mounts
Description
In Germany, many (most) things are ruled by legislation. For bike STVZO requires to have front and back reflectors on any bike if you want to use a public road. Saying this and owning a new bike I had trouble to mount the reflectors I got with the bike in an approriate way. So I decided to make clips myself to fix them. I'm using a Hammerhead Karoo2 for bike computer. The standard holder for this fixes the slip-in plate of the holder with two screws from the bottom. 1) white reflector for front made a two part clip which is screwed to the computer holder from the back side, replacing the existing screws with M3 x 10 mm flat hat screws 2) red reflector for back made a clip slipping over a rack bar (in case of Ortlieb Quick Rack 10.8 mm diameter) and securing this clip with a O-ring or silicon ring so it will not get lost. Trick for removing the original clips: at the rounded side of the slided-in latch there is a small plastic ramp visibile in the round hole. Lifting up the latch at the round side allows to slide the latch back, so it can be removed. This latch gets replaced by one of the printed parts. Check that the hold in the print is exactly maching the original latch in position and diameter. Used reflectors RR-165-SLW / RR-165-SLR from Cateye
