Senseo water tank magnet sensor floater replacement

Senseo water tank magnet sensor floater replacement

Description

This is a replacement part for the black floater within the water tank. It contains a magnet that signals the coffee maker whether there is enough water in the tank. If your coffee maker does not detect the water properly or the floater is stuck at the bottom, then it's time to print a replacement part. The original floater tends to draw water and does not float. Or the original magnet gets wet and rusts. Delicious, isn't it. This print is completely tight and water proof. And PLA is said to be okay for drinking water. Make sure you have a small neodymium magnet. I am using a neodymium magnet of 10mm diameter and 2mm thickness. You can get these at your favorite online shop for 20¢ a piece. I made this as a replacement part for a Philips Senseo 7874 pad coffee maker. It's really just a very quick and simple print. I have added the source file I made with DesignSpark Mechanical anyways if you like to play with it. It's just a hollow little shaped box with 1mm thick walls.
