I test every aspect of this type of accessory I produce and do not sell it unless I find it safe. The camera I'm using is a7iii, Sony Rx10 Mark 3 and my phone is iphone 8 Plus, my design is too solid for a phone this size. It clings to the flash socket tightly and firmly, does not damage the socket, does not touch the pins inside. It is held by squeezing the metal body of the flash socket from the top and bottom.
