Simple Vertical Holes Rear Light/Reflector Adapter for 80 and 50mm Carrier Racks
Description

Simple Vertical Holes Rear Light/Reflector Adapter for 80 and 50mm Bolt Distance Carrier Racks

There are two main standards of bicycle carrier rack rear light mounting points using either 50mm and 80mm bolt distance, then there's the third one with two vertical hole with 19mm bolt distance and M6 screws or bolts. Some carrier racks may have holes for both horizontal standards, but most may have only either. You may have bought a rear light or reflector with vertical bolts that doesn't fit the horizontal holes of your bike's carrier rack so here's an adapter for converting either horizontal hole standard to vertical. I made two different designs to help adjusting the vertical position of the rear light/reflector, vertically symmetrical and asymmetrical, the latter is of course is ambivalent weather you want/need to set your light in higher or lower position. To assemble you need two M6x16mm (or any applicable length) hex bolts for the adaptation holes. Hope you figure out the use yourself, its pretty straight forward after all. Note: the structure or construction of your carrier rack may affect the suitability of the adapters for use, this is just a simple solution that hopefully will work in most cases.
