Creality K1 Improved Fan Cover
Description
The Improved Fan Cover is an attempt to balance airflow in the K1. I found the stock ducting lacked the power to balance the Aux fan. And every fan housing I have found so far had 3 ducts, usually lacking any sort of balancing, causing the air to dump out the primary duct mostly. With the addition of 2 opposing ducts, and narrowing of the primary duct I have managed to balance the airflow of the parts cooling fan. I also made my venting large enough to be able to access the plugs on the side of the extruder board, as it is my hunch that is where we will be plugging in Lidar for the K1. I printed this in Paramount ABS (Decepticon Purple) and suggest only high temp filaments like ABS,ASA, or PC. I am unsure if PETG would survive. Use tree supports, and it is in the orientation you should print it in. Standard supports work as well, but take your time with removing either as there are many delicate corners. If your prints are shrinking causing the upper tabs to break when mounting, increase overall scale by 1-2% starting at 1.
