Sodastream Replacement Nut

Sodastream Replacement Nut

Description

This replacement part was created for the SodaStream Spirit, but I suspect it can also be used for several other models. The Sodastream has a very common failure mode, and that is where the nut holding the air carbonation hose totally rips in two because it is made of plastic and is unable to withstand the pressure after several cycles (mine lasted a year only - for BOTH my units). The trouble is that the original design of the nut is such that it can't be replaced without having to replace the entire hose assembly (i.e. two nuts, the hose, and two crimps). The crimps are placed on after the nut goes on the hose, so there's no way to just print a new nut to replace the old one, WITHOUT having to uncrimp, remove old nut, replace new nut, re-crimp a new crimp. The crimps are really hard to find. So the solution I have here is to create 2 half nuts which can go around the crimp, and then slide on an outercase to lock the 2 halves together.
