RC Scale Yamato Battleship

RC Scale Yamato Battleship

Description

Another in my series of WWII battleships and other warships (check out the other models in my designs: Bismarck, Duke of York, California, St. Louis, Kongo, Arleigh Burke, Type 45, etc.) and this is courtesy of the nice design from PiotruchaWro along with gun, floatplane added from M-Miller-97 and MotherbrainJr, The scale is right around 1:250 (about 42" long) and the deck and hull sections are done all in one if you want to split yourself (both 3mf and stl files) and also pre-split in a zip file so they can fit onto a 200x200 printer. My normal method is to print as much as possible on my Ender 3 Pro FDM printer and just the detail work and such on my Elegoo Saturn resin printer. There will be a few details that will need to be added (anchors, railings, etc.), but those are fairly easily found. The added color pic will show placement of guns and such. You will need to count the number and print as many as are required to place in the appropriate spots. Print tips - be sure to hollow the superstructure if printing it in resin, so it will keep the weight down. The prop shafts have all been pre-drilled out (may need to drill open if they close during printing) and the rudder just print in place and cut off to make it a working rudder. If anyone gets working on this I hope you can post a make!
