Robo 3D R1+ Improved Pillow Block
Description
Improved pillow block for the Robo 3D R1+. Two copies makes a single pillow block, so you'll need four copies total per printer. The stock pillow block has a flat fit and uses two LM8 bearings. This lets the bearings move around inside the shell and can let the bed rattle under high acceleration. This design uses an LM8 and a LM8UU together for better support. There's also a small gap between the halves to cause a compression fit when tightened down, stopping the bearings from shifting around when the bed moves out to full extension on either side. You'll want to print these in something tough and heat-resistant, like ASA or PC. PETG will likely work as well. Do yourself a favor and replace the stock bed rods (8mm, 355mm long) while you're in there, as the stock rods are unhardened stainless and pretty badly undersized.
