Serenity Quest 3 Rifle Stock
Description
Latest Version of the "Serenity Quest VR Rifle Stock" for the New Quest-3 Hand-Controllers * Requires approximately 300mm of 7mm O.D. (3mm-5mm I.D.) Aluminum Pipe (Amazon has it). * About 127mm-157mm of 8mm O.D. (3mm-5mm I.D.) Aluminum Pipe. * Four 3mm nuts/bolts/washers. *** Hand Controllers with Silicon "Knuckle-Strap" Covers work best with these for a "No-Slip" fit. *** This is a VERY stable VR Stock! We've been using these nightly in Population:One and Breachers since the Quest-3 was released and they hold up Great.. They really improve scores! This stock leaves both hands free to grab loot, throw grenades, etc. You forget the stock in on the hand-controller after a few games. No need for rifle straps or magnets, etc.. We haven't taken them off the right-side hand controller since we put them on last week. I've printed 5-6 of these at 20% Infill with PLA, but I usually print them at 100% Infill so I don't have to worry that sanding or cutting may get into the infill, and it doesn't take much more time or Filament. Two of the parts have Built-In Supports in areas where Tree supports often fail, but You'll still want some light Tree Supports "Touching Build-Plate" probably. The Built-In Supports can easily be snapped off after printing. Warm the areas of PLA where the Aluminum pipes are held in place, and seat the Nuts/Bolts firmly while the PLA is warm, there should be NO wiggling or twisting of parts. Don't JAM the hand controller down into the cup to begin with.. give the PLA time to form itself to the hand controller and within a few games it fits PERFECTLY and doesn't feel like it's going to fall off or anything. If you're paranoid, use the wrist strap to tie the hand controller to the bottom of the Cup, but we haven't had ANY of ours feel loose, or slip, etc.. I included two different Buttstock parts.. one short and one long. The left-side hand controller Forestock has a "Closed Top" that presses the Side-Trigger on the Quest-3 Hand-Controllers for you while you're shooting. I have an "Open-Top Forestock", but no one ever uses the Open-Top type any more after they start using the Closed-Top Forestocks.
