Customizable Nursery Plant Pot
Description
The house seems to be getting filled with more and more plants by the week, all of varying sizes. I wanted an easy and fast way to print a lot of basic nursery pots to keep up with the ever growing jungle. The main issue I had in the past was that I could not simply scale up or down an existing model due to the bottom not being able to support the weight of the soil. So I decided to put together a dynamic plant pot that way I can just enter in the dimensions I need and send it off to the printer. The included files were designed with the intention of printing quickly. With this is mind I have them set to have 4 bottom layers at a .2 layer height to keep it sturdy enough to hold the soil and the remainder of the pot is a single wall (remember to enable "Print thin walls"). I've been printing these with Hatchbox Wood PLA with good success so far. I've included a few basic sizes and shapes that way you won't have to worry about opening the Blender file. However, if you want a larger/smaller size or a different shape/style I've included it here. I tried to make it as simple as possible since I will be using this in the future. All you need to do is modify the parameters in the modifier to your needs then export as an STL (sometimes with Blender you need to increase the export scale to 1000 for the size to scale correctly). I have printed a few pots already but not all of the specific files included here. If there are any issues with the existing presets please let me know and I will update it. Side note: This may have been easier to accomplish in some CAD software but this was a great excuse for me to start learning the geometry nodes in Blender :)
