Laser polar alignment tool for Skywatcher EQ-5 Pro SynScan GoTo

Description

I made this laser polar alignment tool for my Skywatcher EQ-5 Pro SynScan GoTo to accelerate the polar alignment significantly. The holder can be hot glued to the tripod to always have the same alignment relative to the real axis of the tripod. First usage --------------------------- Step 1: You put in the laser into the holder and align your tripod and mount to the pole star. Step 2: Exact polar alignment, i.e. with the ASIair. Regular usage --------------------------- After the first alignment with the ASIair, I marked the real position of my laser relative to the north star on the cap of the laser holder, to know from now on, where to point the laser to be on spot to the pol star. In my case, I have to point my laser at the 7 o'Clock position, relative to the pole star to have the mount quite good pointed to the pole star I use one of the lasers from Move shoot move.
