Boat Shuttle and Bobbin for Weaving
Description
I was frustrated with how expensive boat shuttles were for my hand loom and wanted to figure out some new software stuff, so I designed my own bobbin and matching boat shuttle. The only other thing you'll need for this is a bit of sturdy wire (I used 3mm for the boat shuttle to hold the bobbin on). Please don't sell it, but feel free to share them with any other experienced or aspiring hand weavers. This is a usable beta, and I will continue to iterate and improve, so feel free to send me suggestions. Print with supports. May need to clean holes off with wire before use. Once printed, take a long piece of wire and loop it around another piece. Take the inside piece off, then thread it halfway thru the side with no openings on the top or bottom. Slide the loop in, then push the other wire the rest of the way thru the loop and the other side. Cut the inside wire a bit past the end, and bend back the excess into the hole for it. Trim the long wire to fit snuggly in the hole on the other side of the shuttle.
