JJP GnR pinball Fender amp

JJP GnR pinball Fender amp

Description

This is my DIY self version of the well known Fender Amp mod for the JJP GnR pinball machine. For better detail I designed the model in 5 separate parts glued together. The Fender logo was a little bit tricky. To be not out of proportion I prefer a comparatively small size. For that it is strongly recommanded to use a small nozzle diameter (I used 0.2 mm). If you use a different nozzle size or do not like the result scale the print until it fits your needs. To achieve a better contrast to the white grill I used a black background for the logo. I printed it with one color change from black to silver. For best results I recommand to play around with the extrusion factor. In my setup it looked best with some overextrusion. I also printed the grill with the 0.2 nozzle and one color change. The idea of printing the grill on a thin black background layer is for easier removal from the printing plate and gluing to the amp body. For a good result you have to avoid stringing. Best print with comparatively low temperature. The body of the amp has comparatively thin walls. In case of a bad layer adhesion due to to suboptimal printer settings you may have problems with structural stability. An increase of the extrusion factor may do the trick. Using a larger nozzle diameter will most likely also help (I was too lazy to exchange the 0.2mm nozzle...). The structural stability is, however, not very critical because the amp is screwed to the popper. I printed the amp with support (including support for bridges). The other two parts are easy to print. I printed the panel with a color change (the last layers showing the notch of the knobs).
