Strasburg Thomas for Lionel Docksider
Description
This is a Body shell for Lionel 0-6-0 Docksider chassis. The Chassis shouldnt need too many modifications, except for removing the smoke unit and front coupler. The Lamp has a hole for wiring, but I doubt any wiring will fit. You will need some sort of filling putty, I used wood filler. Be careful about warping, if the sections warp they wont fit very well, nothing a little bit of putty cant fix. THE CAB, COW CATCHER, AND CAB ROOF WILL BE NEEDED FOR ALL MODELS, except for the one piece model. You will STILL need to print the cow catcher. Three Section Print: BEDT 15 Cab, BEDT 15 Mid, and BEDT Smokebox only. - If you print the 3 piece model, printed the Smokebox section upright to limit the supports. - The Smokebox section will have a weird extra piece of plastic under one of the tanks near the wheel well, just cut it off. (youll notice it, its a big piece and it is only on one side). Two Section Print: BEDT 15 Cab, BEDT 15 Front This should fit with minimum trimming to the print. I had issues with mine in the front, but I think I fixed it now. Dont say I didnt Warn You. I also recommend using tree supports, they WILL be needed. If you have questions leave comments. P.S. I highly recommend to print the 2 piece over the 3 piece. Itll match up a ton better than the 3 piece. It is a long print, but i think it would be worth it.
