Centrifugal-Fan Experiment

Centrifugal-Fan Experiment

Description

This model has no real-world application. On the one hand I wanted to refine my CAD skills and on the other hand I wanted to experiment a bit. I came across the model of a turbine, and first of all I designed different variants of the rotor in CAD. But then I wanted to know how well the different models would work. Thus, a suitable housing and a stand had to be constructed. I then used the different rotors to blow on a paper pellet and then measured the distance the pellets traveled. It was also interesting to see what effect it has when you make the motor turn in the other direction. While experimenting, I had the idea what effect different nozzles would have at the output. So I constructed some variants. With the best rotor I then tried the different nozzles in the same procedure as with the rotor tests. Whoever is as curious as I am, is cordially invited to follow my experiments.
