Buckle for 3 inch Webbing
Description
I needed a sturdy buckle for 3 inch or 75mm webbing, so I created these! This is a slide thru type buckle with a locking cam that, when pushed down, grips the webbing very securely. Works well with many kinds of webbing and elastic in the 2mm thickness range. There is also a "thin" version for thinner tape like webbing in the 1mm range. Perfect for the common 3 inch military surplus webbing or 75mm upholstery elastic as shown in the photos. The center bar of this buckle is removable which makes this ideal for replacing a broken or missing buckle on an existing strap. If making a new belt, you can sew together the loop the buckle goes on without the buckle getting in the way of the sewing machine. Files for buckles that take a 3 inch (76.2mm) strap are included. In your slicer, these can be scaled up or down the Y axis to fit straps of other widths if needed. e.g. Set Y scale to 98.5% to fit 75mm webbing. File for matching end tip is also included. These will take up to a 2mm thick strap. Scale up a bit on the Z axis for thicker straps. Place a few drops of glue in the slot and slide it on to your belt end. Enjoy!
