CineVectron mounting bracket v2.0
Description
CineVectron mounting bracket v2.0 Designed by Darryl Hirschler This is a mounting bracket for the CineVectron board set, so that the CineVectron board and FPGA can be installed easily into an Asteroids or Asteroids Deluxe arcade cabinet. It is designed to slide into the stock PCB guide rails for the gameboard and line up the edge connector where it is expected to be. Features: - It is the same height as an Atari Asteroids or Asteroids Deluxe gameboard so that it slides into the PCB guide rails in the cabinet. And it has holes for securing it in place with screws. - With the CineVectron board mounted, the edge connector is at the same height as an Atari Asteroids or Asteroids Deluxe gameboard so the wire harness will plug right in without stretching or giving too much slack. - The CineVectron edge connector is recessed so it is not as vulnerable to accidental damage due to sticking out too far. - IT is designed as several pieces so that it can be printed on a small 3D printer, such as the Prusa Mini (which has a 7x7x7" max print volume). The pieces snap together securely and can be glued or secured with a pin or screw. - CineVectron mount raises the board 10mm and has supports unerneath to prevent too much flexing when plugging in connectors. - FPGA board uses standard PC standoffs to raise it 10mm. Use M3x10 screws to mount the board. The screws on the underside are recessed so it can rest flat on a table, thus making the assembly easier. - Openings are designed into the mount boards (behind the PCB) to allow for better air circulation and save on printing materials and print time. Notes: - Each piece can be printed flat on the print bed without supports. The pin should have a brim so that it does not float off the print bed. - If you use a pin, you will want to open the hole with an exacto knife or drill. - PLA should be fine to use. It it not super heat-resistant, but I don't believe the inside of an Asteroids cabinet gets hot enough to warp the PLA. But if you are concerned, you can try other materials. - When tapping the screws, screw it until you feel some resistance, then back it out. Continue this motion until it goes all the way in. Don't try to force it all the way in one go. - The total assembled measurements are: 290mm x 315mm
