Description
by Segasonicfan Designs https://segasonicfan.wixsite.com/retro @SegasonicfanDesigns on youtube: https://www.youtube.com/@SegasonicfanDesigns -- If you use this model, please give at least a heart - it makes me happy! I made these to replace the lackluster satellite drivers in this: https://www.newegg.ca/black-corsair-sp2500-wired/p/N82E16836852001 with some nice aftermarket Infinity car speakers I had laying around This is a custom speaker enclosure for 3.5" speakers and 1" Tweeter. It was designed around the Infinity Reference series 3.5" and Infinity Kappa tweeters, but others can be used with slight changes The design is printed in PETG and uses (optional) TPU gaskets to eliminate air leakage. It uses black PLA (Polymaker) Speaker mounts as well. Entire project will print in PLA just fine as well. Note, my PETG settings are not completely dialed in, but these worked Ender 3 S1 Pro PETG settings (Cura): - Overture White PETG used - Increase walls to 4 - temp: 140 nozzle 85 bed - 40% infill - 60/120 speed (can do slower for first layer_ - 7.5 retract (My retraction isn't the best though, but this at least worked) - Initial fan speed 15% - Expand holes 0.2mm and 1st layer expand - 0.1mm for elephants foot (for dimensional accuracty) Note, at this speed the main case took 28 hrs. You can decrease walls for faster prints if ya like. PLA settings: - Polymaker Black PLA - 20% infill / 0.2mm height - Temp: 205 / 65 - Speed: 30 / 60mm/s - Retratction: 0.8 / 50mm/s - Expand holes 0.2mm and 1st layer expand - 0.1mm for elephants foot (for dimensional accuracty) There are the following parts: - 8x #8 wood screws (I used this kit: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07QM8249Hhttps://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07QM8249H) - Rectangular Case (2 parts) - Main rubber seal - 1" Tweeter mount (for Infinity 1" KAPPA dome tweater only. Uses #6 screws) - 3.5" Speaker Mount for Infinity Reference Series - 2x Screw spacers for 2.5" Speaker - Circular back cover for Corsair SP2500 compatibility (https://www.newegg.ca/black-corsair-sp2500-wired/p/N82E1683685200) (it's a 4-pin Molex PN#: 0039281063, a.k.a.PN# 5566-6) - Sound reflection dampener is optional, I pulled mine from an old pillow :P - (If you dont print the back port, you can use drop in terminal connectors like this: https://www.amazon.com/Obuyke-Speaker-Terminal-Connector-H69F93B55R208141AXA https://www.amazon.com/dp/B096X3G96Y
