Apple Lisa Keyboard Key Cap Leg Replacement
Description
I had the legs break off of one of the Caps Lock key on my Apple Lisa key cap. I tried to glue the legs back on and it didn't take. So I decided I needed to take more drastic measures. With this, it replaces the whole inner section. I cut the insides out, flush with the bottom of the keycap. I created 3 different angles, because I wasn't sure the exact angle, and the cleanliness of my cutting on the inside of the keycap might make a difference. I think I ended up using the 10 degree one. After cleaning the inside of the cap, I pushed the printed part into the keyboard switch to test fit it. Then I set the key cap down on it to test the angle and the alignment. When I found the keycap leg replacement angle that was closest to the other keys in the row, I put it in the keyboard, applied some plastic epoxy to the top of the printed part, then put the key cap onto it. I then made sure the keycap was centered and aligned with the other keys in the row. Once the epoxy dried, the keycap is nearly as good as new. I only tested this on the one middle row key cap, so different angles may be needed for other rows.
