Anomia Party Edition Insert
Description
This is an insert/organiser for the game Anomia: Party Edition with room enough for the original Anomia game and either Anomia X or Anomia: Pop Culture. The insert that came with Anomia: Party Edition is terrible as it is very difficult to get a deck of cards out due to its poor design. Also, the box is way too big for the number of cards in it so I thought I would design an insert that would also fit in the cards from the original Anomia game. The box isn't tall enough to fit the cards in upright, so I had to tilt them slightly, which actually helps to see the different coloured decks. The first two slots fit in the two 100 card decks from the base game and the remaining 10 slots each fit in an 81 card deck as per each of the 6 party edition decks. This leaves 4 spare slots. Anomia X includes four 81 card decks and Anomia: Pop Culture includes three 81 card decks so you could fit in either one (but not both) of these games in the party edition box as well. Pre-empting the request for sleeved cards, I also designed an insert to hold all cards sleeved from the original Anomia game and Anomia: Party Edition. Note that I've based the calculations for the slot sizes based on a sleeved card being up to 1.5x the thickness of a regular card. This works out at 45mm per 100 cards (56 cards per inch). If the sleeved cards are much thicker, they won't fit. If the sleeved cards are too thin, they might be a bit loose in the box. I haven't tested this insert so if you give it a try, please let me know if it works. Alternatively, contact me and I could customise the box for the sleeve type you have. NOTE: Don't throw away your original Anomia box. Keep it for when you want to travel with Anomia.
