DaVinci 1.0 Adjustable Z-Axis Motor Mount
Description
Printed At 0.2Mm Layer Height With 50% Infill For Rigidity. Needs Supports To Print. I Found In My Xyzprinting Davinci 1.0 Printer That If The Z-Axis Lead Screw Hung Free From The Build Table, That It Would Not Point Directly To The Shaft Coming From The Z-Axis Stepper Motor. Thus Meaning There Was A Missalignment With The Location Of The Z-Axis Stepper Motor And The Z-Axis Lead Screw. So I Designed This Replacement Mount With Slots For Left-To-Right Adjustment And Front-To-Back Adjustment To Help Position The Motor Directly Under The Free Hanging Lead Screw. Now The Lead Screw Is Almost Perfectly Vertical And My Print Quality Has Improved (Z-Wobble Reduced). Works With The Screw Already On The Printer For The Stock Z-Axis Motor Mount. I Also Noticed On The Stock Motor Mount That When The Lead Screw Would Spin, There Was Wobble Coming From The Motor Itself. It Reveals Itself By Pulling Up On The Motor Mounting Bracket In An Orbital Fashion As The Lead Screw Spins. I Believe That I Have A Bent Shaft Coming From The Stepper. This May Be Remedied By Changing The Rigid Coupling To A Flexible Coupling To Lessen The Affect That The Wobble From The Motor Has On The Printing Part. Replacing The Motor May Also Help.
