Fan Holder Revision (with bracket alteration)

Fan Holder Revision (with bracket alteration)

Description

After doing some testing for about a week I found that the original fan holder design seemed to impede airflow by quite a bit. The top area of my PS2 (where the heatsink is located) seemed warmer than it was with the stock fan. The side, as well as the bottom, of the PS2 also seemed to be warmer as well. I was worried it was because of the fact I chose to use a 12V fan, rather than the 5V (with 10 Ohm resistor) people in PS2 modding forums seem to be recommending now. Now, I realize the fan isn't really the issue. I decided to redesign (or alter) the original fan holder to be a bit more airflow-friendly. I felt that the cause of the poor airflow was because of the 3D printed grill that is integrated in the design. As a bonus, I also altered the bracket design to leave out a tab next to the power button assembly slot that prevented the bracket from seating entirely. You may have seen videos on Youtube where people hack off a metal tab preventing the bracket from seating properly. Now I've modified the bracket to completely seat without having to do any hacking on your precious PS2. I made these modifications for PS2 SCPH-30001R, so the alteration I made to the bracket design may or may not work on later models. So if anyone could comment and let me know if it does or does not then that would be great.
