Utinsil strainer for garbage disposal drain
Description
Grille/strainer for 85mm Insinkerator drain opening (object has 84mm diameter). Designed specifically to prevent small utinsils (like measuring spoons) from falling unseen into the garbage disposal, while still allowing relatively large food particles to pass through with the aid of the sprayer. The largest center opening is 24mm, and after over a year of use it has been 100% successful at preventing accidental utensil disposal without the need to stick my hand in the backed-up drain to check. The occasional utensil still falls through, but remains upright and easy to spot/retrieve. This is also pretty easy to remove, but if you need to do that frequently I highly recommend replacing it every couple months because you're not going to be able to sanitize it. I haven't had any issues with gunk getting visibly stuck on it, but I'm sure mine is crawling with bacteria at this point. But I don't care because I never have to touch it! Print in PETG or stronger, PLA will probably deform pretty quickly under hot tap water. In contrast, my PETG print can easily handle boiling pasta water fresh off the stove.
