Plug for Chimney Cap

Plug for Chimney Cap

Description

Hi, Here is a solution to the problem of breaking the nut that hold the chimney cap at the end of the mast. With so much daily movement, friction caused it to break and I had to look for this quick solution. 1. After taking the necessary measurements on the mast cylinder, I printed the piece in question on my Ender 2 Desktop. The piece fits under pressure (4.95mm is the measurement of the piece for the ring) 2. Next I painted my piece with suitable high temperature spray paint.(More than 300ºC) 3. Then I wrapped the piece with aluminum adhesive suitable for withstanding high temperatures as well. I also repainted it to protect it even more. Don't forget that the piece is plastic... 4. Finally we put everything together and tightened the nut under the piece at the end of the mast and it seems to work perfectly. We apply industrial grease and "loosen everything" oil (3 on 1) to improve continuous movement. No unwanted looseness or friction. NOTE: It is the third piece that I print to achieve the desired perfect result. Overheating after several uses dissolved one of the previous ones! (for this reason I protect it even more with aluminum adhesive for high temperatures)
